OUR CATTERY POLICY

At our cattery, the health and well-being of our cats and kittens are our top priorities. Here’s how we ensure their optimal health:

• Genetic Testing for Breeding Cats: At NeoGen Labs, we conduct genetic testing on all breeding cats to screen for more than 120 genetic disorders. This includes common conditions such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKDEF), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). Ensure the health and quality of your breeding program with comprehensive genetic testing.
• Regular Health Assessments:
• Echocardiograms are performed by a certified cardiologist yearly or every two years, based on the specialist's discretion.
• Hip dysplasia X-rays and renal ultrasounds are performed at the correct ages to ensure precision and minimize the risk of inaccurate readings.
• We frequently conduct fecal PCR tests and FIV/FELV screenings for pets, and we're happy to report that all results returned negative! Regular testing is crucial for your pet's health, ensuring early detection and peace of mind.
• Upper Respiratory PCRs are conducted as needed if any signs of illness are detected.
• Random Panels: Conducted at various times to ensure the ongoing health of our cats and kittens.

Pick-Up/Delivery Policy

We strive to make the transition to your home as smooth as possible for our kittens:

• Scheduling: Once your kitten is ready to join your family, we will work with you to arrange a convenient date and time for pick-up or delivery. We ask for at least a week's notice to ensure all preparations are in place.
• Travel Safety: For those opting for delivery, rest assured that our team - Global Pet Transfer -  transports kittens with care using safe, comfortable carriers to ensure their well-being throughout the journey.
• Home Arrival Guidance: Upon arrival at their new home, we provide detailed instructions on how to help your kitten settle in, covering diet, environment, and first vet visits. We believe in a smooth transition to foster a loving and nurturing relationship.
• Follow-up Support: Our commitment doesn’t end at delivery. We are here to support you with any questions or concerns you may have as you welcome your new family member into your home.
• The date, time, and location must be agreed upon in advance.
• Delivery:
• Options can be arranged for an extra fee, depending on location and airport.
• Note that we DO NOT ship any kittens via cargo under any circumstances.

Our cattery is our  loving home:

• No Cages or Outdoor Living Spaces: 
• Each cat is treated as a cherished family member, enjoying a comfortable life lounging on couches and beds.
• Family Environment: 
• Our Maine Coon cats and kittens live among us, socializing with dogs, grandchildren, and adults right from the start. 
• We prioritize their health and happiness, believing that a happy cat leads to a fulfilling life.

• Breeding pairs are designed to create healthy, well-tempered kittens.

When our kittens leave our cattery, they are fully prepared to join your home:

• All kittens are ready to join their new families at 16 weeks, fully vaccinated and accompanied by a welcome bag filled with essential supplies.
